We are looking for:
CS Core Network Planning and Performance Engineer
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
The Senior CS Core Planning Engineer main task is to plan the NSS and MSS systems. This includes detailed planning and dimensioning of the following network elements: MSS, MGW, MSC, HLR, SRRi, CDS. The individual will directly support our customers while ensuring that the planning activities are met on time with the required deliverables and quality in continuously changing environment. Competence development and transfer are essential parts of the task as well as guiding planning partners and own planners. The planning environment will be 2G and 3G networks, so the Senior CS Core Planning Engineer is expected to handle both networks containing BSCs, RNC or a combination of both. Experience with Nokia MSS/MGW equipment is required. Packet Core knowledge is a plus.
The tasks and responsibilities are:
· Executing guidelines for network planning/optimization and creation of:
· Numbering plan definition
1 Signaling plan definition
2 Synchronization plan definition
3 Interconnection planning
4 IN based services planning
5 Exchange data planning
· Independently perform network dimensioning of the speech and signaling networks
1 Support and supervise feature implementation: analysis, data/parameters definition and network test supervision
2 Support and supervise for new architecture implementation: analysis, data/parameters definition and network test supervision including inter-working vendors.
3 Support architecture and network optimization in the following areas: speech routing network, network redesign, signaling routing network, standard translation/configuration redefinition, overload mechanism parameters setting
4 Support, supervise and get customer's approval on KPIs definition, monitoring and interpretation
5 Support for routing performance optimization in the following areas: failed call attempts, CPU load, circuit group and signaling links congestion
6 Support for architecture and feature problem solving
7 Be the technical leader for daily questions and answers regarding Nokia's NSS/MSS
8 Support the project's planning manager
9 Sharing best practices with the project and within the organization
10 Developing network planning guidelines for projects purposes
11 Support the development of Network Planning and Optimization tools
Period of contract: 2 months (can be extended to more 4 months)
It is necessary previous experience with Nokia equipment.
